Mike Olejniczak of CEC Pittsburgh, a Certified Ecologist, was a member of a team who authored an article published in the journal Plant Ecology: “How common and dispersal limited are ant-dispersed plants in eastern deciduous forests?” The article characterizes ant-dispersed plant communities in the northernmost and southernmost reaches of eastern deciduous forests and explains whether they are as common and threatened in those areas as prior studies indicated.
