The Athens office was established in 2010 nearby in Sayre to provide professional services in support of the expanding natural gas industry. In 2019, the office was relocated to Athens, where we have additional room to grow and expand our services. We provide civil engineering, surveying, and ecological services. We specialize in environmental permitting for natural gas pipelines, waterlines, and other activities that involve construction of facilities or other earth disturbances. We also provide environmental monitoring and testing services to monitor and remediate environmental impacts. Our surveying services focus on the gathering of information for project design, construction stakeout, NSPS ALTA surveys, and as-builts of pipelines and facilities.
CEC Athens maintains a small firm atmosphere with access to big firm resources. We emphasize the importance of a work/life balance and embrace the many recreational opportunities available in northern PA. Several of our staff participate in an annual employee Biggest Buck Contest with other CEC offices, we hold an annual Christmas dinner for employees and spouses or guests, and our summer picnic is always a great time!
We provided design, survey, and consulting services for the development of the Diahoga Trail between Athens and Sayre, PA. In addition, we support and participate in environmental “field days” at local schools and at the Bradford County Conservation District. Also, we regularly support various local organizations, including Children’s House.
