CEC Boston office operations began in January 2012. We’ve grown by building strong relationships with local and national clients as well as finding and developing exceptional staff at all levels. Our clients are in various industries, including the public sector, solid waste, manufacturing, real estate, and power. We provide services in design, permitting, construction oversight/management, compliance, emergency response, remediation, brownfield assessment/development, and field services. Our staff consists of engineers, Licensed Site Professionals (LSPs), environmental scientists, field technicians, and office support. In 2020, we acquired SITEC, Inc., a well-respected civil engineering and land survey firm in southern Massachusetts with offices in Dartmouth and Fall River. By welcoming SITEC, CEC Boston added survey/geospatial services to our lineup and registered professional land surveyors to our team. To more fully integrate CEC’s services, expertise, and culture, we co-located the Dartmouth and Raynham teams in one primary office space, leading to our decision to close the Dartmouth office on August 1, 2021. Stay tuned for information on our updated expanded space in Raynham — coming soon!
The foundation of our office is based on building careers and lifelong relationships. Staff within the Boston office have worked with each other for more than 25 years and have formed lasting friendships. We understand that office culture is what makes the working experience rewarding, and we work hard to create a culture that fosters learning and creativity. Teamwork is forged through working with each other on projects and finding common activities during and after work. Professional development is constantly occurring through our internal and external training programs. We encourage opportunities to create moments and experiences outside of project-related activities; we periodically play golf or cornhole, and we even have an employee activity room!
Giving back is important to us. We’re constantly looking for new opportunities to connect with organizations and communities that could use our help. We’ve prepared packages for our troops, presented at local schools, participated in races (such as the Tough Mudder and Bike MS), and taken part in various local fundraisers. Staff are encouraged to bring to the team what they are passionate about and to find ways to support their cause.
